Introducing the New Official Logo for the Institute for Global Engagement (IGE)!

The Institute for Global Engagement (IGE) is proud to announce the creation of our new official logo. This symbol represents our core philosophy and our vision for the future.

Starting now, you will see this logo on our website, in our brochures, and at various events. Through this new visual identity, we strive to become an organization that feels even more accessible and familiar to everyone.

Design Concept

Our new logo carries a message of “Coexistence” and “Dynamism,” values we hold dear.

  • Connection & Coexistence: The overlapping letters represent the way students, the local community, and society interact closely to learn and grow together.
  • Smiles & Boundless Energy: Hidden within the letter “G” is a “smile” that symbolizes the joy born through our activities.
  • Steps Toward the Future: The rhythmic, upward-sloping alignment reflects our wish for everyone to take lighthearted steps toward active success—locally and globally.

The design process was guided by keywords such as “Challenge, Excitement, Vitality, Energetic, Global, and Coexistence”. We have created a look that breaks free from traditional boundaries. This energetic design serves as a symbol of IGE’s new challenges, radiating a sense of power to all who see it.

New Logo Family Visualizing the Expanding IGE Universe

Alongside the main IGE logo, we have also developed four sub-logos to represent specific projects, managed facilities, and our student groups.

While maintaining a consistent tone with the main brand, each sub-logo expresses its own unique role and personality, reflecting the diverse initiatives of IGE. Please look forward to seeing these logos appear in a variety of settings in the future.

With this new logo as our companion, IGE will continue to create a “Place for Co-creation” that is deeply rooted in the local community while maintaining a global perspective.
